Jenna Lynn-

You sound so strong. It's so good to know that you recovered so well after going through all that H--L. Your a survivor. Psychopath came into my life when I was only 19.I was naive therefore I was easily manipulated. I was a college student. We only dated for like a 8 months before we got married. My father told me not to marry him. I should have listened. He made good money and was able to support me. He own's his own garage. He can fix anything.

I glad you found a loving, caring and supportive partner. Having your partner be your best friend is a gift from God. I do believe in prayer. I have prayed for people many times and it has worked (sometimes only temporarily but it is still a relief). I firmly believe that God will deliver a good man into my life when I'm ready. I haven't dated anyone since I left psychopath. I'm not exactly ready for a romantic relationship with any man. I find my self intentionally scaring all men away (It's not that hard to do). I have been asked out on dates, but I have declined all of them. I guess it's a defense mechanism. It's not that I have a fear of intimacy, but I'm into protecting myself from harm. In six months to a year I see my self a little more prepared to handle a romantic relationship. My ex is quite obsessed with me still. For example I was house sitting for a friend of mines children (someone that he knows). He actually had the nerve to call me at the house to see what I was doing. He's creepy. My STB ex gives a new meaning to the word control. I feel bad even calling him controlling because it is much worse than that. He projects anything but a healthy dominance. My relationship with STB ex is becoming a distant memory as I type.

I'm thankful I didn't have children with STB ex. I'm sorry about your daughter's genetic inheritance. I'm sure you do give her the best possible life. I'm sure it was hard for you to come to terms and accept she is like her biological father. It happens. Do you ever feel like she got short changed? It's great that you can stay home with your daughter.

Many Thanks

One of the main reasons I was drawn to this site is because it strictly talks about psychopaths.

Have been reviewing some reaseach on FP;s and genes. Dr. Fisk is somewhat an authority on the early ages of Psychoathy:
Destined as a psychpoath? Experts seek clues]

Therapy]

I will look for more links after I deal with some family issues.

Short quip from Hare: That is why Hare believes that therapy makes psychopaths worse; most of them learn about human emotions through psychiatry, and they are "eager to attribute their faults and problems to childhood abuse." [Hare, 50]. Also, "antisocials (psychopaths) themselves can be uncooperative or unpleasant, complicating efforts to study and treat them." [Black, 12].

Be back in a bit. Di
