Dear Dianne and jamie,

Firstly Jamie, please never be afraid to speak your truth. Your comments remind me so much of what I have been through with both my ex and my daughter. At this stage however I Am not strong enough at this point to abandon her on an emotional level. Besides Im still not sure is she the P.

Dianne,

Thankyou for your comments.

Abandoning my daughter in the waiting room, of family services was gut wrenching. AND as i had been adopted out as a child i only all well knew the pain of abandonement> If other members (in extreme circumstances), need to do this< I recommend they PULL TOGETHER ALL THERE RESOURCES, which included friends, family and my minister to support this process.

She was also never told that I was there to abandon her, we talked to her about her problems, and she actually understood that we had to address these problems which meant she had to stay with professional people to work it out.

The problem at hand remains this Dianne, I am still her legal guardian, BUT basically I HAVE Relinquished my rights, as she in protective services custody.

At first they continued to work with her, that is with her original diagnosis of an intellectual impairment. Her other physcyatrists diagnoses of multiple undiagnosed disorders has never been addressed. I will look into this further to see if they are even allowed to diagnose a minor with scychopathic traits. Also this thearapist discontinued her therapy full stop, as she beleived my daughter was not suffering from any mental disorders. Protective Services has followed there lead, and now she receives no professional help at all, even though recently she stabbed her brother.

I left her father when she had turned 8 years of age.

I also believe her fits of extreme tantrums started at approx 18 months old. However, BY age of 4 she was defianatly displaying some of the P traits.

regards
Rosie

Rosie, I feel so bad for you because a lot of the things you're saying is the same situation that I was in several years ago. My N is 31 years old and has only gotten worse with time. My hubby and I are still together and neither of us are Ns or Ps. We never got her to go to therapy, but I tried when she was a teen. I wanted her to see the school counselor and needless to say after the spat we had, I never asked again. I think by that point, I had given up and just tolerated her. She was a beautiful, very intelligent girl, but had no good feelings toward anyone. She despised everyone and everything, especially me and hubby. She had told people that we abused her and thankfully we lived in a small town and everyone knew us and saw our interactions. It's just like you said, just the most horrific cries and screams as a baby and the whole first year. She had cholic so I excused it as that. But things continued and she got nastier every year and we kept saying that as soon as this stage of her life was over, she'd get better. It was wishful thinking. We have seen her in passing and she has lost her beauty, it's just like the ugliness in her soul is coming out. She refuses to speak to us and hasn't allowed us to see our grandbabies for 16 months now. We love them so much and were so close to them. She'd been lying in wait for the perfect moment to separate us. She told me that I've never obeyed her and I'm done. It hurt those little ones so much, but she doesn't care. We wanted to be there to let them know they're cool kids and deserve love, but that's now impossible. She is married and has her hubby and a few of her N friends convinced that we're trying to take the children away from her and that's why we can't see them. I'm almost 50 and my hubby is 59 and the children are little yet. I've had spinal surgery and have osteoporosis. I do quite well because I keep moving and I also have a fulltime job. But the fact is, we wouldn't be capable of raising three small children and we've never wanted to unless circumstances left them parentless. But of course you know that there's no way that you can even state your case because they won't hear a word that you say because YOU'RE WRONG and they're right. Keep in touch because we have so much in common.
